人生に一回の日本でのワールドカップは既に皆の記憶の中にしまわれてしまった冬空のもと、Lake Sideの京滋リーグ最終戦が吉祥院グランドでプログレを相手に行われた。新しくLake Sideに加わったメンバーも青のユニホームを身にまとい、11:15にキックオフ。立ち上がりが堅かったか、相手に2トライを献上。前半14分にはキャプテンが負傷交代。しかし、Lake Sideはここで崩れる事はなく前半終了迄には追いつく事ができた。後半にはアメフト経験者の突き刺さるタックルもあった。試合終了。京滋リーグ優勝。優勝カップを手に京都テレビからの取材。

While the Once-in-a-life World Cup in Japan is now stored in our memories, the final game of Lake Side in Kyoto-Shiga League 2019 was held against Progres in the winter climate.  New member wore a blue jersey, too and the kick-off whistle was blown at 11:15.   In the beginning, it looked like Lake Side member was numb or had not been warmed up yet; Progres scored two tries.   At 14 minutes in the 1st half, the captain got injured and was replaced.  However, Lake Side never let Progres go as they wanted and caught up with them by the end of the 1st half.   In the 2nd half, our new member, who used to play American football, tackled the opponent like an arrow.  Full time.   The victory in the championship.   Kyoto TV coverage with the trophy.

今年はこれまで京滋リーグの試合は吉祥院グランドで試合は行われていたが、最終戦は洛北の宝ヶ池グランドで行われた。キックオフの時間はこれまでと同じ11：10。慎重にフェーズを重ねてトライを重ねる。後半には相手チームがノーボールタックルでシンビンになったが、Lake Sideは冷静にしかし力強く試合展開をする事ができた。皆の力で前へ前へとボールを繋いだ結果、スコアは38対22の勝利で終える事ができた。3勝1敗。Lake Sideは11月24日のプレーオフで雌雄を決する事になった。

今日はキャメロンの友達のアメリカ人のプレストンとブレイドン、アイルランドの人のショーンが来てくれた。世の中には二つの種類の人間がいるとすれば、ラグビーをする人としない人に分けられる。ラグビーボールを持ったら、そこには言葉の壁は存在しない。多分。。。。。

The final game was held at Takaragaike Ground in the northern Kyoto although the games had been so far at Kisshoin Ground.   Kick off at 11:00 as usual.   Lake Side continued phases carefully.   In the 2nd half, an opponent member left the field for sin bin.   However, Lake Side proceeded with the game calmly but aggressively.  All the Lake Side member went forward passing a ball and finished the game with the score 38-22.   This season, Lake Side has won 3 games and lost 1, and will fight to finish the season on the play-off game on 24th November.
Today, friends of Cameron came to watch the game.  Preston and Braidon from USA, and Sean from Ireland.  If the people on earth are divided into two, one is those who play rugby and the other is not.  Once you hold a rugby ball, there is not a language barrier.   Maybe………..

台風一過の吉祥院の人工芝のグランドは水はけもよく、昨日の台風の面影はどこにも無かった。予定どおりにラグビーの試合ができるという事に感謝しながら、キックオフの笛は吹かれた。プログレが最初は試合をリード、前半は同じ2トライ、12対14と食い下がった。後半はこの日左ウィングに入った村中キャプテンが時にはモールに入ったりと、チーム全体で一歩でも前へ、左から右へ、右から左へフェーズを重ねての猛攻。前半はペナルティもお互いに2つずつが、後半はLake Sideが2、プログレが5と、試合展開を有利に進める事ができたが最終的にプログレに3点わずかながら及ばなかった。

次の試合迄は2週間、各自今日の教訓を反芻して次の試合に備えよう。さあ、あと2時間で日本対スコットランド戦が始まる！頑張れ、日本！

The artificial turf pitch at Kisshoin drained well although a big typhoon just passed yesterday.   With the appreciation of the game implemented as planned, the kickoff whistle was blown.  The opponent, Progre lead the game first, but Lake Side never gave up and the 1st half ended with 2 tries by each team and the score 12-14.   In the 2nd half, the Captain Muranaka, who played #11 today, joined the maul; Lake Side as a team continued the phases rushing forward and running from left to right, right to left.  In the 1st half both teams made two penalties each, but in the 2nd half, Lake Side make one but Progres made 5.  Lake Side could proceed with the game to our advantage, but final scores of Lake Side were 3 points behind Progres.

The next game will be two weeks ahead.   Let’s think over again and again what we had got to do today and what we are going to do in the next.

The Japan vs Scotland is starting in two hours.   Hurray, Japan!
